'La la', she said
Skipping down a gilded path
Unaware of the peril before her
(or so it was said)
Reality nipp'd her heels
and she laughed
'La la', she said in ignorance. The shredding tymes came
and the laughter died,
Leaving her crying and heartsore
Embedded in stone
Like Arthur's sword
Waiting to be drawn,
Wielded and revered
Bloodied and used as was her fate.Acceptance filled her form
Tragic, no...
Practical
Peace was not her dream
She dreamt only of More
Her king sat at a distance upon his dark steed
Coming ever closer
Verthandi to her Skuld. She held out a fragile hand,
Pale yet steady
Asking to be nothing more than his singular one
and demanding nothing less
He rode in hard to claim his prize
Covering her bitter with happiness
Blood for blood
and bile for bile...The seed he sowed within her grew
She bloomed,
and the Moonflower burst
Flying free
Under a darkened sky
Unencumbered and Reborn
She smiled and let loose a sigh
'La, this is what I've been waiting for...'
